My Great-White Hunter

Brandon has been archery hunting this month with his brother, Jared.  They were both successful & they both came home with Elk- within one day of each other.  Jared got his on one day, they packed it out from the mountains, brought it home, then went back out the next day and Brandon got his!  Way to go guys- I'm proud of ya, hun!  Can't wait to have those horns on my wall :)

My cute little 1st Graders

Grace and Olivia have a teacher who I think will be really great- Mrs. Poehler.  They had a good first day of school but came home completely exhausted.  Brandon took us all out for pizza to celebrate :)

Tauphus Park & Zoo

For the City of Idaho Falls Employee's summer party, we went to Tauphus Park & Zoo and had a picnic dinner.  I think it's cool that they make it into a fun family day.  We ate dinner served by the Mayor and City Council, then rode the rides and went to the zoo.
Grace and Olivia have the BRAVEST DAD!!! Look at him stick his head in the Lion's mouth
There's a whole zoo full of live animals and what do we do?  we take pictures of all the fake ones, oh well!

Riot Zone '11

Lana and I took our kids to Riot Zone for the day.  This was one of the rare times that she didn't have her fancy camera with her.  (I usually don't even bother taking pictures if I know Lana is taking them- because hers always turn out so much better than mine!) So anyways, I took a few pictures while we were there.
Our original plan was to spend about two hours there and go on two or three rides.  We ended up getting unlimited passes and spent about 8 hours there.  Then, after dinner, Brandon and I took our girls back for a couple more hours and we closed the place down.  I think we got our money's worth ;)
Grandma Sherry came with us and she made yummy chicken salad sandwiches for a picnic lunch.  It was a great day.

Devan must be part spider-man because he was awesome on the rock climbing!

skirts

I couldn't pass up this pretty fabric when it went on sale for $2/yard, so I made 2 skirts.  Grace and Olivia are very ready and willing models.  I think we did a 100 take photo-shoot.  Yes, they love to have their picture taken.

Ranch

Seriously, it doesn't get much better than spending time up at the Ranch!  We've been up a few times this summer and every time we have such a blast!  When Lana & the boys were here in July we went up for the afternoon.  We also took our camper up and spent the night- just the four of us.  We even talked Grandpa & Grandma out of running home to do chores and they stayed for a hotdog roast!  Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for sharing this beautiful place with us- we love it!

Jr. Golf League

Today was Olivia's and Grace's Jr. Golf League Tournament.  They have been taking golf lessons at Jefferson Hills all summer long.  I go with them.  I am their caddy.  This means I carry their bag, pick up their clubs, supply them with water when thirsty... and the instructor does the rest.
Honestly, we have had fun going out every Monday night together.  They usually play 3 holes- which is just right for 6 year olds. Tonight we were paired up with their cousin, Brandon (Blyss's son) so that was fun.
How many kids can you fit on a cart???

ok- I have to brag and tell this story... 2 weeks ago, Grace chipped the ball from about 25 feet from the hole.  It bounced and rolled............ and went in!!! We cheered and danced for a few minutes :)
